How the Agent Factory Works
A clear job. The right tools. Rules about what needs your sign-off. That's how good hires work, and it's how we build agents.
The short version
We build agents the way a good manager hires
Clear job description. The right tools. Rules about what needs sign-off. A trial period before the real thing. Then regular check-ins so they keep getting better.
That's the whole philosophy behind our AI agent development. The technology changes every month. The fundamentals of getting real work done don't. Our team has been building for businesses since 2012, and the founder spent years managing sales teams at multi-million-dollar plumbing and national remodeling companies. We design agents around how work actually flows, not around a demo.
Step by step
From first call to a working AI agent team
Map the hours, pick the first wave
We dig into where your time goes, which tools you already use, and which jobs are predictable enough to hand off. You get a written Agent Blueprint: each agent's job, the tools it can reach, the approval checkpoints, the deployment scope and price, and a timeline. ($750, credited toward your build within 60 days.)
Instructions, knowledge and tools
Each agent gets a written role, your business knowledge (services, prices, policies, tone), and connections to the specific tools it needs. Nothing more. We build on leading AI models and connect through your tools' official integrations wherever they exist.
Practice runs before real customers
We throw your real situations at every agent: the angry caller, the weird request, the after-hours emergency, the question it shouldn't answer. It has to hand off cleanly, ask for approval where it should, and say "I'm not sure" when it isn't.
Biggest win first, then grow
Wave one is the agent that gives you the most time back with the least risk, often an AI Receptionist or a lead responder. We watch it closely, tune it, and only then add the next wave. Ordering 100 agents still starts this way.
Monitor, tune, update
Businesses change. Prices change. AI models change. With Agent Care, we review activity, fix what drifted, and update agents so they stay accurate. It's included with Subscribe-to-Own and available from $99/mo per agent on Build & Own.
Inside one agent
What every agent is made of
A goal
One job, written so a new hire could follow it. "Answer calls, book estimates, text the owner a recap."
Knowledge
Your services, hours, service area, policies and tone, kept in a source you approve and can update.
Tools
Calendar, CRM, inbox, phone, payments: only the ones the job needs, with the least access possible.
Rules
What it must never do, what needs your approval, and when to hand off to a human.

Chain of command
How a squad works together
When you have several agents, they pass work to each other the way a good team does. A Commander Agent keeps everyone in step and reports to you.
You
Set the goals, approve what matters, read the morning briefing.
Commander Agent
Routes work, tracks what's done, collects your approvals, flags problems.
Specialists and Scouts
Each does its one job and hands off to the next agent, or to a person.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to build an AI agent?
It depends on the agent's rank, the tools it connects to and how ready your data is. A Scout is much quicker than a Commander. Your Agent Blueprint includes a written timeline before any build starts.
What AI models do you build on?
We build on leading commercial AI models and choose the right one for each job based on accuracy, speed and cost. We connect to your tools through their official integrations wherever they exist.
Do I need technical skills to use AI agents?
No. With Done-For-You service we handle deployment and ongoing care. You approve the plan, approve sensitive actions and read the reports. Teams with technical staff can choose Co-Pilot or Handoff instead.
What happens if an agent makes a mistake?
Agents are tested against real scenarios before launch, limited to the access their job needs, and set to hand off or ask for approval when unsure. Activity is logged, so mistakes can be traced and the agent tuned. You can switch any agent off at any time.
Can agents work with the software I already use?
Usually, yes. Agents connect to common calendars, inboxes, CRMs, phone systems and accounting tools. We confirm every connection during the Blueprint, and if a tool has no way to connect, we tell you up front.
